  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup brown sugar (for streusel)
  • ½ cup rolled oats (for streusel)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for streusel)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bananas and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, rolled oats, and cinnamon for the streusel.
  8. Scoop muffin batter into prepared tin and sprinkle streusel topping on each.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before serving.
