  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Mix in the softened butter until well combined.
  4. Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar, and mix until fluffy.
  5. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are light golden brown.
  11. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • For extra moisture, use very ripe bananas.
