  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the rolled oats and milk. Let it sit for a few minutes.
  3. Add brown sugar, applesauce, egg, and vanilla to the oat mixture and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Fill muffin tins about 3/4 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
