1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the heavy cream, until well combined.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle each ball with a little granulated sugar on top.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
