A savory and satisfying casserole that combines the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with low-carb ingredients.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Add sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix heavy cream and half of the cheese, then pour over the turkey mixture.
  7. Top with the remaining cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute beef or sausage for turkey if desired.
