A delicious low carb casserole inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring turkey bacon for a healthier twist.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  4. Add onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Add heavy cream and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and top with crispy turkey bacon and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add some hot sauce to the beef mixture.
