A delicious low-carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring turkey bacon and layers of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 pound sliced beef steak
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups cauliflower rice
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced beef, onions, and bell peppers. Cook until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the cauliflower rice and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked turkey bacon back to the skillet along with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded provolone cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding jalapeños or different types of cheese.
  • Make sure to drain excess liquid from the beef mixture before baking for a firmer casserole.
