A delicious low carb version of the classic Philly cheesesteak casserole made with turkey bacon for a healthier twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add ground turkey and brown it.
  4. Add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic; sauté until tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  6. Transfer mixture to a baking dish, top with chopped turkey bacon and shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

  • This casserole can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
