A delicious low-carb version of the classic Philly cheesesteak casserole, featuring turkey bacon for added flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (green and red)
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until soft.
  4. Add ground turkey, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook until turkey is browned.
  5. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in chopped turkey bacon and half of the cheese.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For spicier flavor, add jalapeños.
  • Can substitute ground beef if preferred.
